Biography
John Jympson is a very experienced editor. He as a long and prolific career in the British and American cinema.

He was born in London and he got his education at Dulwich College.

His first job in film came 1960 with A French Mistress. After this first assignment lots of movies have followed, including Where Eagles Dare (1969), Kelly's Heroes (1970), Alfred Hitchcook's Frenzy (1972) and A Fish Called Wanda (1988). He has also worked for director Frank Oz in three movies: In & Out (1997), Little Shop of Horrors (1986) and Housesitter (1972). He has edited the miniseries The Martian Chronicles (1980) and The Far Pavilions (1984).

Recently read the 'Definitive Story of the Making of Star Wars' and discovered that John Jympson was the initial editor on 'Star Wars' while Lucas was filming it in England. He was subsequently fired because he wasn't getting on with Lucas and wasn't delivering anything the director liked!
