Biography
Guy Deghy was a Hungarian-born actor who built most of his career in the United Kingdom, working extensively in British film and television.
Deghy turned up early in The Saint, first in series one, episode five, as Inspector Oscar Kleinhaus. He returned to the show in the fifth series to play Kleinhaus again, and also appeared in another episode and a television movie from the franchise in different roles. He likewise featured in Patrick McGoohan’s Danger Man, portraying a train guard in “The Traitor” (1960) and the character Vogel in “Name, Date and Place” (1961). Beyond screen work, Deghy also performed on the London stage.
He died in London on 25 February 1992, aged 79.
