Biography
John Heller, born April 19, 1928, in Teplitz-Schönau, Czechoslovakia (today Teplice Šanov, Czech Republic), was a film and television actor. His credits include the war comedy Kelly’s Heroes (1970), the classic series The Avengers (1961), and BBC Sunday-Night Theatre (1950). He married Betty Thompson and died in London, England, on November 19, 1989.
I’m pretty sure that John Heller was in another classic WWII movie- “The Dirty Dozen”, uncredited, of course. I’m positive he was one of the German guards killed by Lee Marvin as the team enters the castle grounds.
