  1. He also appeared in the 60’s star trek television series as Captain Decker in the ‘Doomsday machine’ episode.

  2. IF HE DIED IN 1970 WERE THE FILMS IN 1970 AND 1971 RELEASED AFTER HIS DEATH OR ARE THE FACTS WRONG ABOUT THE YEAR. I HAVE SEEN ELSEWHERE THAT HE WAS 50 WHEN HE DIED AND NOT 44.

  3. I saw him appear in Sleuth in Sydney, I think in 1970 before the production was due to reopen in Melbourne where he apparently died of a heart attack. He gave an extraordinary performance, receiving a standing ovation, and afterwards an equally extraordinary speech in which he forcast his own immanent death. This fact has, to my knowledge, never been reported.

  4. I read somewhere his death at 44 was suicide..he was spectacular in The Power Game and BBC did a set of 6 plays in which he was the lead…I would love to see them again, his early death robbed us of a wondeful actor who would have gone from strength to strength.
