Biography
Philip Stone is maybe not a very famous actor, but he appears in several international movie moneymakers. He played often small parts. He appeared in the James Bond movie Thunderball, Flash Gordon (produced by Dino De Laurentiis) and Indiana Jones and Temple of Doom (as Captain Blumbartt). He also played more important roles in a couple of non hits, such as Hitler: The Last Ten Days (as Genereal Jodl). Stone participated, off-and-on, in the long-running Carry On series of British slapstick comedy films. Philip Stone was a member of director Stanley Kubrik’s informal ”stock company” and Stone appeared in A Clockwork Orange, Barry Lyndon and The Shining.
